Stage 2 of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift ended in a bunch sprint. For Mayenne Monbana My Pie, Natalie Quinn delivered the team's best result by making it into the front group and finishing 28th.
Taking part in the race for the first time, the American rider positioned herself well ahead of the sprint. Up against some of the biggest teams in the world, she managed to secure 28th place on the finish line in Geneva. A result that leaves her eager to achieve even more in the days ahead.
Natalie Quinn. "Today's sprint was technical even though there weren't many corners. I tried to manage my energy well so I could give my best effort for the final. It got complicated in the final kilometer as lead out trains were in full force and some girls jobs were already done. I tried to keep moving forward and am over all happy with how the day went, but I am eager to try and do better in the coming days".
Jean-Christophe Barbotin, Team Manager : "The positive takeaway from today is Natalie. She made it into the group that contested the victory. Now, I expect her teammates to rise to the same level."
