Four Riders Make It to the End of Hell

Paris-Roubaix is one of the most demanding races of the year. The 2026 women’s edition, held this Sunday, was raced at a high pace, leaving no respite for the riders on the start line. For Mayenne Monbana My Pie, four riders made it to the finish.

They reached the end of Hell. The Roubaix Velodrome marked the conclusion of a particularly grueling race. Paris-Roubaix is a battle against oneself and against the cobbles. Natalie Quinn, Allison Mrugal, Constance Valentin, and Justine Gegu are the four representatives of Mayenne Monbana My Pie who finished the Queen of the Classics. Justine, although finishing outside the time limit, did not disgrace herself and was able, at the very last moment, to complete her first Paris-Roubaix as a neo-professional with a lap on the iconic André Pétrieux Velodrome. A major experience for the riders of the French ProTeam.

Natalie Quinn, 66th : “It’s hard to process the emotions of the day. There’s always a part of me that feels like I could have done more. But in the end, I stayed safe, I was very lucky, I didn't have any issues with my bike or my wheels, and I made it to the velodrome and even contest a group sprint. So overall, I think I’m pretty happy with my day. The scale of the race is just so big. On every cobbled section, there were people cheering. I felt like it was even bigger than the Tour of Flanders — you could really feel the massive support from the crowd throughout the race. It was completely crazy.”

Damien Pommereau, sports director : “We knew it would be difficult. You always hope for a good result when you line up at such iconic races, but we’re also realistic: we know the overall level, we know the level of our riders and their lack of experience in these races, which plays a big role as well. One positive point is the equipment: we didn’t have any punctures, it was well managed by the mechanics, we had the right pressures and the right tyre widths. We also avoided crashes. We have to see it as experience gained: four out of our six riders had never raced Roubaix before, and we know it’s not our favorite terrain. We hope things will go better in the Ardennes Classics, as we have more climber-type riders. We’ll see next week.”
