Stage 6 of the Tour – Mayenne keeps pushing forward

The Tour de France Femmes continues its journey south. At the finish in Ardèche on Thursday, the Mayenne Monbana My Pie team was still intact despite the challenges of such a demanding race.

The rolling terrain and constant attacks have made the race particularly difficult for many riders. Team leader Karolina Perekitko finished 46th on the stage and moves up to 42nd place in the general classification. On Friday, the team will take on the legendary Mont Ventoux.

Karolina Perekitko: “It was very hot again today. The course was quite technical as well. I tried to get into a breakaway, but it didn’t work out. Tomorrow (Friday) looks set to be epic, but we’ll keep fighting.”
