A strong weekend to bring the season to a close

The Faun Tour de l’Ardèche, A Travers les Hauts-de-France and the Choralis Fourmies Féminine together made up the final race weekend of the season for Mayenne Monbana My Pie. The French ProTeam wrapped up its 2026 season on two fronts, with one squad racing in the south and another in northern France. On both sides, the riders were able to seize opportunities and achieve some good results.

In the Ardèche, the four days of racing were demanding from start to finish, on a particularly hilly course. Constance Valentin was notably part of the breakaway on the opening stage, targeting the mountains classification. It was then Karolina Perekitko who showed her strength, consistently coming close to the Top 10. In the end, the Polish rider finished 12th overall.

In the Hauts-de-France and at Fourmies, both races were expected to come down to a sprint. Mayenne-born Justine Gegu made the most of her opportunity on Saturday, taking 7th place in the final sprint. On Sunday, Fiona Mangan benefited from some excellent teamwork from the Mayenne Monbana My Pie squad to finish 13th.

These results bring the 2026 season to a satisfactory conclusion. Some of the riders will nevertheless return to national team duty to compete at the UCI Road World Championships in Montréal at the end of September, the European Championships in Slovenia in early October, or the UCI Track World Championships in Shanghai in mid-October.

Franck Renimel, sport director : “This weekend, I saw a lot of desire and determination from the girls, especially with a very strong pace from the team in the final at Fourmies. We are not far from achieving even better results. The five riders always stayed together around our designated leader. We are ending the season with some solid results."

Fiona Mangan, 13th at Fourmies : "I think it’s a good result. I think it just shows the fact that we were all there at the end means that we were all fully committed today. We rode really well as a team and I think we were always present at the front of the peloton. It’s really nice to end the season like this. It's actually really positive and hopefully we take all of this into next year. We're a good group of girls."

Justine Gegu, 7th at A Travers les Hauts-de-France : "The idea was to have two different options and share the roles a little bit. We all worked together and, honestly, it was really positive. On Sunday, I was a little frustrated not to be able to be part of Fiona’s lead-out. I think it could have made a difference. It’s a shame, but that’s sprinting. Nevertheless, it’s still a good result and I’m happy. I didn’t see my first season with Mayenne Monbana My Pie go by; I didn’t expect to be involved at this level so much. So I’m really happy. We’re building a good understanding with the girls and with the group we have here."

Karolina Perekitko, 12th at Faun Tour : "It was 4 nice days of racing. The first stage was a bit hard for me after one month without racing, but every day I became better & better. On day 3 I got a Top 10 spot. On Sunday, the goal was to jump into top 10. I did what I could and I finish 12th overall. We were a small team for this race but we rode with our hearts, always being attentive in the breakways and all so it's super good for us".
