Mayenne opens a new chapter in its cycling history with the official launch of the professional women’s team Mayenne Monbana My Pie, succeeding Winspace Orange Seal, which has stood out in recent seasons for its results and steady progress on the international stage.

Driven by the Department of Mayenne and its partners, this new identity clearly asserts its ambition: to firmly establish top-level women’s cycling at the heart of the region, while continuing a sporting trajectory aimed at the world’s most prestigious international competitions.

Sporting continuity, a new dynamic

Formerly known as Winspace Orange Seal, the team has distinguished itself in recent seasons through several notable achievements, including:

  • a strong and widely noticed participation in the Tour de France Femmes,

  • significant results in international UCI races,

  • and growing recognition within the women’s professional peloton.

In 2026, the team builds on this momentum under a new identity, Mayenne Monbana My Pie, embodying both sporting continuity and regional renewal.

Experienced governance

The project is co-managed by Jean-Christophe Barbotin, a respected sports director and key figure in cycling for more than twenty years, and Gaï Assouline, co-manager responsible for strategic development, partnerships and the overall structuring of the project.

Together, they lead a human-scale team built on sporting excellence, close relationships with the riders and a sustainable vision of high-level performance.

The project is also supported by the commitment of Fabrice Havart and Sylvain Prodhomme, active members of the governance, who contribute to the team’s development and its strong territorial roots alongside the management team.

An international team rooted in Mayenne

The 2026 roster brings together professional riders from France, Canada, Poland, Ireland and the United States, illustrating the project’s international openness while maintaining a strong local identity.

Mayenne is not merely a backdrop: it becomes a place for training, knowledge-sharing, encounters and sporting innovation, closely connected to the territory and its people.

Launch event on Tuesday, 20 January at Espace Mayenne

The new Mayenne Monbana My Pie team will be officially presented to the public and partners during a launch event on Tuesday, 20 January 2026, at Espace Mayenne, in the presence of:

  • the riders,

  • the staff,

  • the partners,

  • and institutional representatives.

This evening will mark the symbolic start of the 2026 season and will provide an opportunity to present the team, the sporting project, the jersey and the key objectives ahead.

Committed partners

Beyond its founding partners — Mayenne, Monbana and My Pie — the team can also rely on the support of loyal and committed partners. Winspace continues the adventure as the official equipment supplier, alongside Orange Seal, while Rapido provides essential support for team mobility and vehicles.

The commitment of these partners enables the team to operate under optimal professional conditions and to aim for the highest standards in women’s cycling.

Focus on major international races

Subject to official confirmations from race organizers, Mayenne Monbana My Pie aims to compete in the main events of the international calendar, including the flagship races of the UCI Women’s WorldTour, with the goal of a new participation in the Tour de France Femmes.
